The Duration of Training varies from 50 hours to 1200 hours. The skill is to be assessed by the Assessing Body mainly from the Industry Organization. Certification is done jointly by the National Council for Vocational Training and Industry (Assessing Body). All Vocational Training Providers (VTPs) registered with the State (located within and outside the State) are covered under this scheme. The scheme is implemented by the State Council for Training in Vocational Trades (SCTVT) Society.

Its entire value chain from fiber to apparel manufacturing has a strong presence within the country. It is the biggest employer after agriculture. In order to meet the skill gap in the industry and also to supplement the efforts of the\\r\\nMinistry initiated through the Special Package for Garments and Made-ups in generating employment, the Government has approved the new scheme titled “Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles Sector” for the entire value chain of textiles except Spinning and Weaving in the organized sector, for a period of three years from 2017-18 to 2019-20 with an outlay of Rs. 1300 crore. The Scheme for Capacity Building in Textiles Sector shall be known by the name "Samarth".

Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI)

Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ)
Skill Council for Green Jobs is one of the most recently launched initiatives of the Government of India aligned to the National Skill Development Mission. It is promoted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The creation of the SCGJ was approved in the 10th meeting of National Skill Qualifications Committee held on 28th September 2015. Established as a not-for-profit, autonomous, industry-led society, the SCGJ was incorporated under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860 on 1st October, 2015.
